Top three coffee's whilst traveling ( actually the only 3 good-as-at-home coffee's)
3rd place : Flat white @
Wellington Coffee, Edinburgh, Scotland.
{ignore the healing black eye}
A tiny little cafe below the street serving just coffee/hot chocolate & scones.
(Was served by an Aussie, supporting my belief that Australians produce some of the best coffee)
2nd place : Flat white @
Printa Cafe, Budapest, Hungary.
Very cool little printing shop/cafe in an alleyway, surrounded by grafitti & a rundown old chuch. This cafe sold artwork and recycled wearables by local artists & served just coffee & hot chocolate. My favorite part was when the waitress asked if I had liked my coffee - she said to Jon 'I don't really care about the hot chocolate' - true coffee lover!
(Didn't find an Aussie connection here)
1st place : Caffe latte @
Cafe Safak, Goreme, Turkey.
Basic looking Turkish cafe, serving delicious lentil soup & excellent lattes. Very friendly staff & plenty of food options.
(The owner, Ali, trained as a barista in Melbourne & worked in a cafe on Chapel Street = Australia makes some of the best coffee in the world!)
p.s. We bought a new camera adapter so lots of pics from the last month to come!
You're so right about the coffee in Oz, so good. Keep the photos coming guys, your trip sounds amazing,(bit jealous)!!!
