Bruges (or 6 days of overindulgence)
What a magical city Bruges is! We both immediately loved Bruges - the medieval buildings, the cobblestone streets, the slow pace, the delicious food... It was exactly what we needed, a chance to relax and wander aimlessly - nowhere to be... And then stop for hot chocolate (& frites with stoofvlessaus)
The Markt
Our favourite cafe
Lunch in the park
Hot Chocolate
Beers by the river (dad the beer was called Bruges Zot!! Haha)
The 'Beer Wall'
Tempting window displays
frites with stoofvleessaus
Drinking again! { must be my nan coming out in me ;) }
Facing my fears - the hostel staircase
We spent 6 nights in Bruges & although there wasn't much to do we had the best time. Next stop Luxembourg for a few nights - after that, who knows?!

Bike riding around Bruges (or the day I realised there was muscles in my thighs)
On a beautiful, sunny, Saturday morning we decided to rent bikes and ride to Damme...
The scenery was beautiful & the day was perfect and despite a little hold-up...
We had a wonderful day.
And ended the day watching a game of Boules in the park.

On Friday, we took the train to nearby town Ghent. This is what we saw...
Exploring Graffitti street...

London ( or jet-lag recovery in Hyde Park)
What a city! London (at least the small amount of it we've seen) is a beautiful, bustling, incredible city. We haven't seen anywhere near enough but as we will soon be on our way to Belgium we plan to return to London later this year.
We loved the Free London Walking Tour which took us to Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben & Westminster Abbey. It was a great way to see the sights without a map and our guide was informative and entertaining. The Jack the Ripper Tour was fascinating, our guide was excellent and we were able to see a side of London that we probably wouldn't have ventured to alone.
Pictures from our wanderings...
(Thanks dad & lukes for taking us to the airport)
